• Cinema Plans for Kawana Shoppingworld

New cinemas, new undercover parking and new shops are among improvements planned for Kawana Shoppingworld.

As well as adding cinemas, the proposed plans will build on the recently opened casual dining precinct, with more options for dining. It will also feature vastly improved street presences on both Nicklin Way and Point Cartwright Drive, with new landscaping, speciality shops and a significant number of extra car spaces.

The work will lead to more than 200 new retail jobs when complete and significant employment during the construction phase.

    Development Update - February 2017
Development works on a multideck car park in the Southern Car Park of the Centre (adjacent to Bermagui Crescent and backing onto Arunta Street) are due to commence on March 1, with completion due in Mid 2017.

The works are the construction of a decked car park on the site of the Southern Car Park, and will mean some changes to traffic conditions within the centre and pedestrian access via Arunta Street.

With a view to works commencing, starting from Wednesday 1st March, the vehicle entry to the centre via Burns Street will be closed for the duration of the Southern Car Park works. Pedestrian access will still be possible.

The current pedestrian access to the rear of the centre, via Arunta Street will also be closed from March 1 for the duration of the works. We would ask residents to ensure they use alternative routes to safely access the centre.

We would like your feedback. Please complete the form below to let us know what you think of the new proposal.
