Mobility Equipment and Disability Services and Facilities

Kawana Shoppingworld has mobility scooters and wheelchairs now available for hire. Please book 24 hours in advance to ensure availability. 

Free Justice of the Peace Service

Please be advised that the Justice of the Peace service is temporarily unavailable until further notice. Our free JP Service is located outside of OPSM, near Woolworths.

    Parents Rooms

    Our state of the art Parents Rooms are equipped with a microwave, lounges, change tables & parent/child toilets.

    Parent Rooms are located at the Food Court and near Travelator in the ALDI Mall for your convenience.

    Restrooms

    Please be advised restrooms available to use in the centre are the toilets located near Lowes and near GyG.

    Parking at Kawana

    The Kawana Shoppingworld Car Park has over 1900 car spaces with easy access to all entrances, FREE of charge. Our undercover parking station is now open to customers, accessible via Nicklin Way and the Burns Street ramp.

    Public Transport

    Kawana Shoppingworld is located on the main arterial road that connects Mooloolaba to Caloundra.  This road is Nicklin Way and Kawana Shoppingworld is situated on the corner of Nicklin Way and Point Cartwright Drive Buddina. Our street address is 119 Point Cartwright Drive BUDDINA.

    Our car park now has dedicated charging bays to suit all electric vehicles, please see below for some frequently asked questions. 

    Frequently Asked Questions 

    Where are the electric vehicle charging stations located?
    The charging stations are located in the multi deck car park on the mezzanine level.

    How much does it cost to charge your vehicle?
    Nothing. Our electric vehicle charging stations are complimentary for customers.

    How long can I charge my vehicle?
    Customers are welcome to use the charging stations for as long as they wish. 

    What hours are the charging stations available?
    The charging stations will be available to customers during the car park opening times.

    How many of charging station do you have?
    There are four charging points at our charging station.

    The charging station won’t work for me, who can help? 
    The centre management team will be able to assist with any faults in the first instance. If you have any questions or require assistance, please text  0451 266 777. 

    What types of vehicles can use the charging stations?
    We have both Type One and Type Two connectors on the cables so you can charge regardless of manufacturer. These are on the white charging pods. The grey charging units are Tesla Type Two and should be used only by Tesla vehicles.

    Do I need to provide our own adapters?
    No, you can leave yours in the boot. While there is a move toward a single connector type in Australia there will always be at least 1 x Type One and 1 x Type Two cables onsite.

    Do I need to register my details anywhere?
    No need to register your details anywhere, our charging stations are free for you to use without having to download any apps.

    For our team, it’s about understanding your needs and values so that we can effectively contribute to the local area. Throughout the year we support a number of community groups and sporting clubs, sponsor local events and festivals and get involved with local council initiatives. That’s in addition to the community service programs, like our Mums & Co program and Nappy Collective, and charitable pop ups and activations we offer in centre. Through our Mums & Co initiative we support Mummy's Wish, a national charity supporting mums living with cancer.

    At a national level, Mirvac know that what supports our society as a whole improves the places they create. Investment in activities that enhance health and wellbeing within communities, as well as strengthen social inclusion, demonstrates a real and long-term commitment, both within and beyond the centre doors. Employment initiatives, cultural installations and volunteering programs are just some of the ways in which Mirvac makes a difference along with support for its national charity partner – The Smith Family. Locally, Kawana Shoppingworld is a proud ongoing supporter of the Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge.
