At Kawana Shoppingworld, we’re proud to be helping shoppers do just that through a range of in-store recycling and donation programs that turn your unwanted items into something meaningful.
Give Your Old Items a New Life
Many of our retailers are offering easy ways to recycle or donate everyday items.
- Donate your old glasses at participating stores @opsm @specsavers they’ll be cleaned, repaired, and passed on to people in need, helping others see the world more clearly. 👓
- Recycle your used batteries and e-waste right here in the centre. Retailers like @woolworths & @King-I.T donate your unwanted phones to survivors of domestic Violence, King-I.T will take on your e-waste as well as well as take your old laptops where they’re repaired and donated to #teacherinbox – (a huge interactive library of community and academic resources that can be accessed without internet). @JBHIFi, @coles, and Woolworths all offer battery recycling programs to safely recycle and reduce waste.
- Have old mobile phones hiding in a drawer? Bring them in to @telstra, @Vodaphone, or @Optus! Donated phones can make a real difference to people in need, they’ll take that old modem from 5 years ago as well! 📱
- Even old toys can find new homes with @bigW toy recycling hub where toys that are suitable for another life are given to the Salvation Army stores. Remaining toys that can be recycled, where possible, are recycled into their raw materials.
- Containers for Change stations are located throughout the centre. It’s an easy way to recycle your bottles and cans while supporting local initiatives.
